The funds raised from our raffle, virtual silent auction and golf outing will directly benefit the ongoing work of Columbus Speech & Hearing Center so we can continue to provide the critical care that so many rely on, but struggle to afford. Now, more than ever, we appreciate your support in ensuring we can continue to serve your Central Ohio communities. We've been serving over 97 years, and with your support we'll continue helping and providing hope for families long after the COVID-19 Pandemic.

About Columbus Speech & Hearing Center

For over 97 years, CSHC has offered exceptional service to individuals and their families throughout Central Ohio. We are focused on our mission to unlock the potential for individuals with communication challenges through all stages of life. As a nonprofit, we are proud to be able to serve families regardless of their income or insurance. Approximately one-third of those we serve are uninsured or under-insured and rely on the financial support of donors. All proceeds from the 2020 Great Communicators Golf Classic will directly benefit these children and adults by enabling us to provide the following speech and audiology services to those who need it most: 

Speech-Language Therapy Services

• Individual & group speech therapy programs for children and adults
• Community screenings and early intervention programs for children
• Autism Diagnostic Clinic
• Transgender Voice Clinic

Audiology & Hearing Aid Services

• Hearing screenings and evaluation
• Hearing aid sales and services
• Cochlear implant services

ASL Classes

• ASL classes for adults and youth ages 16 and older as well as family classes
• Improve communication abilities with co-workers and friends who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing
• Educate those who may be losing their hearing, those incorporating signs in communicating with their hearing children and those who simply have an interest in learning American Sign Language.

Schedule of Events:

Our schedule of events is individualized to each foursome to ensure the safety of event participants. To receive your team's individual schedule, please register.

Individual tee times range from 11:00-12:20. Each team will be allowed to register one hour before their tee time, this hour includes time at the driving range.

Lunch will be served on course.

Dinner will be served to-go for the safety and convenience of our participants!

Expectations for the Event:

We appreciate your compliance with the following expectations. As a health services provider we are proud to host an event that abides by the standard expected of our own doctors, therapists, staff, clients, and patients. Our team serves a vulnerable population and thanks you for your support in protecting them!

Prior to the Event:

For the health and safety of participants and volunteers, please perform a self-assessment prior to attending the Great Communicators Golf Classic. If you answer 'yes' to any of the following, please refrain from attending / participating:

• Have you been exposed to someone who has experienced COVID-19 symptoms or tested positive for COVID-19 in the previous 14 days?
• In the last 48 hours, have you had any of the following NEW symptoms? Fever of 100 F (37.8 C) or above, or fever-like symptoms, cough, trouble breathing, shortness of breath, severe wheezing, chills, muscle aches, sore throat, loss of smell or taste / change in taste, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, headache.

During the Event:

Face Masks & Coverings

• Must be worn upon arrival and during registration
• Must be worn inside any building at The Lakes Golf & Country Club
• If players arrive without a mask, one will be provided

Registration

• Pre-registration is encouraged to provide a safe and socially-distanced check-in. You can pre-register at the top of this page, if you have issues registering, please contact Shelley Gabriel at [email protected].
• All registration equipment is sanitized before each use

Golf Course Safety

• All carts are sanitized prior to use
• Each team is provided two carts
• Additional carts are available for those who feel more comfortable riding alone
• Please be courteous to your team members and discuss comfort level as needed, we're all in this together!
• Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the course. Please practice good hygiene and follow all CDC-recommended guidelines
